Description:

The Freel library provides a full range of services to meet the needs of the academic community. A collection of over 186,000 volumes, 125 current journal and newspaper subscriptions, and 300,000 microfilm items provide quick access to information sources. On-line subscription services provide stateof- the-art index searching for research topics, with 9,000 journals also supplied on-line. The reference staff provides advice as well as formal instruction in the use of these tools. An on-line circulation system records loans made to borrowers and forwards overdue notices for items kept out too long.

In addition to its own extensive resources, the library offers an interlibrary loan program in which students can obtain materials from other libraries. It normally takes about two weeks to receive requested materials through the mail in this manner. Therefore, students are encouraged to begin working on their assignments early so that they can benefit from the library’s wide range of information sources and services
