===Creating three-way conference calls===
+
==Staff==
There are times when you are on a call and want to add another person to the conversation.  The three-way conference feature allows you to connect to another line while participating in a call.

===FAQs===

;Q. My phone doesn't ring to voicemail.  What can I do to fix this?

:A: Make sure Call Forward No Answer is set by picking up the phone, pressing *35101, waiting for a tone, then hanging up.

;Q. What are the 4 buttons below the display for?
+
Benjamin Warner, Audio Visual Equipment Technician I
:A. The 4 buttons below the display are soft key buttons, or software key buttons, meaning their function changes based on what is happening on the phone, such as idle state, calling another party, being called, communication in process, on hold, and in conference. They can be used to set Call Forward, Call Back, and start Conference calls, amongst other functions.

;Q. My phone doesn't ring when people call it.  What is wrong?
+
==Contacting Media Services==
:A: Two things typically affect this: '''Do Not Disturb (DND)''' is set; to turn off '''DND''', scroll through the soft key buttons below the display until you see '''DND''' above a button.  Pressing it will show - '''DND Set''' or '''DND Cancel'''.  If you press it and it says '''DND Cancel''' - that was the reason your calls did not complete. - If it says '''DND Set''', press '''DND''' again to cancel.
+
The Media Services office is located in Murdock Hall room 114
:If DND was not the culprit, try cancelling '''Call Forward All'''. - find the soft key for '''FDA''', and press it to cancel.

;Q. What does the Answer button do?
+
*Phone (413) 662-5328 on campus x5328 (Aaron) or (413) 662-5287 on campus x5287 (Ben)
:A. The Answer button can be activated to enable the feature called Ringing Line Pickup.  Ringing Line Pickup allows a phone with more than one line to answer the line that is ringing, rather than only the primary line of that phone.  To enable this feature, press Feature, answer, and then press the buttons of the lines you would like to answer upon picking up the receiver.  When any of the numbers selected ring, just pick up the phone and that line will be answered, rather than your primary number.  To deactivate this, just press Feature and then Answer again.  The answer button lamp will turn off.

;Q. I see CB on my display above one of the soft key buttons when calling someone and they don't answer.  What does that do?
+
Email: mediaservices@mcla.edu
:A. CB is short for Call Back.  Pressing this when the party you are calling is busy will set a call back timer.  When the party you attempted to call is off the phone, or idle, your phone will automatically call them for you.  Your phone will also ring and indicate that it is the call back connection you requested.  This function is only for internal calls.
