The Academic Technology Center developed as a resource to provide faculty development, consultation, and collaborative partnerships to support the use of technology in teaching and research initiatives at MCLA.

BlazerPrint is MCLA's robust and secure copying, printing, scanning, and fax solution served through a series of high-end multifunction copiers located conveniently across campus. All MCLA’s copiers have the same tablet-like touchscreen experience. The BlazerPrint system has an intuitive design that is simple to use, resulting in fewer clicks to complete a job and less time spent when scanning, copying and printing. BlazerPrint is driven by a management system called PaperCut which allows for a customized end-user personal experience by connecting to OneDrive, email, and faxing. All BlazerPrint copiers have been equipped with embedded card reader technology allowing you to tap your MCLA ID card to authenticate to the device and it will know who you are so it can offer a customized experience on any copier on campus. With security and accessibility in mind, users simply print to the queue and then go to the most convenient multifunction device and release their print job.

Description

In alignment with the College's commitment to prepare students to become active, contributing members of their communities and leaders in their chosen professions, the Academic Technology Center strives to develop an understanding of the individual needs of faculty and their students. The ATC supports faculty as they explore and apply technology as a fundamental set of tools in the academic environment.

The ATC works to build active partnerships with faculty, staff, students, and others interested in the integration of technology and academic work.
