Overview
The Jabra Panacast 50 is a conference camera bar that has smart picture focusing and framing. The Conference Cam allows for an intelligent speaker view which gets a close up shot to who is speaking or you can set it to frame everyone in the room in the most optimized way.
Certain settings allow the device to be controlled with the Control Puck pictured to the right, the puck can mute, hang up, increase volume or zoom in the picture. It also has preset buttons you can set for preset camera positions. You can toggle intelligent framing on and off, Going from an automated process to a more controlled process.
Setting up the Jabra for Teams Meetings
To utilize the Jabra in Teams meetings you need to ensure the camera, the microphone, and speakers are set the the "Jabra Panacast 50". Using the Conference Room option on teams works stable, but Media Services recommends you set your devices manually with the top option when joining or starting a teams meeting.
The Jabra has a Computer application called "Jabra Direct" where you can change settings to make the camera do the functions you want it to do. For example; If you want to use the Control Puck "Single Stream" cannot be active in the Jabra's settings. Turning off a setting like "Single Stream" will force the Jabra Unit to restart breifly disconnecting the Conference Cam from the computer.
