Selected Microsoft Software titles are now available to To all MCLA Studentsfaculty, staff, Faculty and Staff for almost no cost. The only cost is for the media and for shipping.students:
The following software titles On the weekend of June 5th Banner will be upgraded from Banner7 to Banner8. Administrative Systems has been working hard over the last 6 months with many offices and departments to test the new version. We are now available confident that the upgrade will be successful but it is impossible to test everything in a complicated system such as Banner so please be on the lookout for any problems during the week of the 7th and report them immediately to order:the Help Desk.
*Microsoft Windows XP Professional Upgrade*Microsoft Office 2003 Banner will be shut down on Friday evening, June 4th at 5pm, and database conversion will begin. The application upgrades will begin on Saturday morning and should be complete by Monday morning June 7th. The system will be open to administrative offices for Windows *Microsoft Office 2004 for Mactesting on Monday the 7th but Self Service Banner will not be available to students and faculty until the end of the working day on Monday. If there are any problems with final testing an announcement will be made in First Class.
NoteSelf Service Banner includes: Microsoft Office 2004 includes WordAcademic reporting for faculty including class rosters and advising tools, access to grades for students, online Applications, Excelregistration for courses, Accesstranscript requests, Powerpoint and Publisher etc.
