[hide]Screen Mirror on a Roku
Roku devices located in most common areas on campus have the ability to cast another devices screen, meaning you can share your screen through the Roku. This process is different on a lot of devices find your device type below for instructions.
Windows Computer
- Go Into Settings and Click on "Devices"
- Click on "Bluetooth & Other Devices"
- Click on "Add Bluetooth or Other Devices" then click on "Wireless Display or Dock"
- Then Click on the Name of the Roku Device (Should have the same name as the Room you are in)
- Click Allow on the Prompt that Appears on the Roku Device.
- You're Connected
Mac Computer
- Click on the Control Center Logo on the Top Bar next to the Time
- Click on the Screen Mirroring Button
- Click on the Name of the Roku Device (Should have the same name as the Room you are in)
- A Code will appear on the Roku screen input the code and now you’re connected.
Mobile Apple Devices
If it's an IPad, IPhone, or IPod this process is the same
- Swipe into the IPhone’s Control Center (For iPhone X or newer (without a Home button) or iPad running iOS 12 or later: Swipe down from the bottom right corner of the screen. For iPhone 8 or earlier (with a Home button) or iPad running iOS 11 or earlier: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen)
- Tap on the Screen Mirroring button
- Tap on the Name of the Roku Device
- A Code will appear on the Roku screen input the code and now you’re connected.
Latest Generation Android Devices
- On your Android device, pull down the status bar and tap Smart View. You may need to swipe left or right to find the option.
- Select your Roku device from the Smart View menu to start the connection
- Follow the instructions on your Roku device to allow screen mirroring
