Activate your MyMCLA Account

Activating your MyMCLA Account (MyMCLA Portal, Email, Canvas, BlazerNet, Lab Access)

To setup your MyMCLA account, you are required to claim your account by activating it using a link located in Self-Service Banner. Follow these steps to activate:

  • 1. Go to http://techhelp.mcla.edu/banner
  • 2. Login using your Self Service Banner account (Banner Login Instructions)
  • 3. Click the 'Claim Your MyMCLA Account' link located on the main menu of Banner.
  • 4. Follow the account claim procedure and obtain the one-time password that is automatically generated.
  • 5. Confirm activation is complete by logging into https://sso.mcla.edu with your one time password. A prompt will appear that will ask you to set a new password. The new password you choose should have a combination of numbers as well as letters.


If you have already setup your MyMCLA account, but have forgotten your MyMCLA password then follow these steps:

  • 1. Go to http://techhelp.mcla.edu/banner
  • 2. Login using your Self Service Banner account (Banner Login Instructions)
  • 3. Click the 'Reset Your MyMCLA Account Password' link located on the main menu of Banner.
  • 4. Set a new password which should be a combination of numbers as well as letters.
  • 5. Confirm the password has been reset by logging into http://sso.mcla.edu with your reset MyMCLA password.
